Mission Statement
The mission
of the U.S. Southwest Soaring Museum is to build a world-class museum
that:
- Preserves and presents the history and legacy of soaring
- Promotes an increased understanding of mathematics and the physical sciences through educational exhibits and programs
- Sponsors aeronautical research programs relating to solar-powered flight
- Communicates an inspirational story of innovation and discovery for the New Mexico schoolchildren, the citizens of NM and visitors passing through the state
- Motivates others to experience the wonder of flight
What's New
The museum is open to the public and will be open daily 9am-4pm or by appointment.
